Our January detox retreat includes all the ingredients to inspire wellness for the year head:

4 days of incredible food, all cooked for you by our talented chefs, all healthy but delicious. A great way to detox after Christmas and set the right path for the year ahead!
4 days of Yoga workshops ensuring you learn 'all encompassing' sequences for mind and body. (Asana, Breathwork and Meditation). We will even send you home with videos and handouts of the sequences so you can continue your new practice at home throughout 2025.
Short cold water plunges in the beautiful ocean (right next to our retreat house) will boost your immunity, make you feel amazing and spark those endorphins. Our 'dips' are guided by a professional water safety team who will also run an hour seminar on the benefits of cold water and how to stay safe.
If there is anything that can create that feeling of awe, it's the incredible scenery here in South Devon, The retreat home, and our daily coast path walks, are in an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), and within a Natural Nature Reserve designated as an SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest). It's a must see location that should be on every bucket list.
If you are worried about those cold dips, fear not! They are optional! If you do go ahead, we have all the best ways to warm up on hand. Hot flasks, spa robes, a large hot tub, an outdoor hot shower in our pretty courtyard just steps from the beach, roll top baths and a cosy log burner.
During your detox retreat in Torcross, Natalie, your highly experienced instructor, will run multiple in-depth workshops over the four days. These are not your average yoga classes, these are sessions design to educate, as well as move. You will go home with a huge amount of new knowledge, supplemented by handouts and videos of every sequence you learn so you can continue to practice throughout 2025 at home.
Classes will take place on the ground floor of the retreat house, in our beautiful beachside studio (Start Bay Studio), with fabulous views across Slapton Ley. Small class sizes mean a more personal experience, giving you the opportunity to learn the importance of alignment, while also getting the chance to ask questions and master various movements.
Our retreats are all suitable for complete beginners as well as more seasoned yogis. Before each retreat, you'll get the chance to privately discuss your ability and any specific health concerns with Natalie, ensuring that each class is carefully adapted to suit all needs. For the adventurous among us, there are opportunities for memorable and invigorating wild cold water immersion experiences.
At Yoga Field & Sea, we dip in the ocean every day, all year round, to take advantage of the many health benefits cold water offers our minds and bodies.
In winter, the water will be chilly (around 9 degrees C), so it's important to learn about staying safe - especially if our sessions inspire you to carry on swimming at home. The safety crew will educate you on planning safe dips, how to understand the tides, swell, wind and weather, and how to ensure you don't get too cold.
Sea activities are led by our certified team of water sports experts who live and breathe the ocean life here in Devon. You can find out more about the team, here.

One of the beauties of South Devon and our retreat location is its remote nature. Depending on where you are coming from, the fastest route might be by train. The train ride as you leave Exeter and pass Dawlish and Teignmouth is stunning.
Advance train tickets are great value, just book your ticket to Totnes. There are multiple direct trains (hourly) from London Paddington. On arrival to Totnes, we advise taking a pre-booked taxi - Whatsapp Steve on 07799 111231 to arrange.
Alternatively if you wish to drive, there is plenty of free parking at The Old Bakehouse and we will provide you with detailed directions before you set off.

Dreamy weekend! Loved all the personal touches, care and attention to detail. The swims, the paddles, the hikes, the yoga, the food, the farm, the space, it was all just amazing, I'll be back!
Exceeded expectations from start to finish. Considered, thoughtful, kind, big emphasis on the 'treat' aspect of 'retreat'! Was wonderful to have someone else plan and schedule these four days. I could totally switch off.
Just the best weekend - thank-you! Brilliantly designed, and an excellent combo of movement, food and activities. A much needed break from routine and a chance to rediscover me.
Absolutely loved the whole experience. The explanations, quotes and readings during yoga were so inspiring. The facilities on the farm, the tents, the barn, everything top-notch. The food was excellent, varied and great portions!
It was an excellent experience that met my expectations and more. Your team were all so helpful, expert and genial about supporting us in new activities. I have made new friends for sure and a stock of great memories.
This was my first retreat of its kind and I can honestly say it was transformative. From the range of activities, to the food to the wonderful company, my time was so enriching. Nick and Nat were perfect hosts!
