Yoga

During your yoga retreat in Slapton, our in-house teacher will run multiple classes every day, either on the stunning terrace, or in our in-house private yoga studio, combining a mixture of energising and restorative sessions and ending each day with the ultimate in relaxation: Yoga Nidra.

Small class sizes mean a more personal experience, giving you the opportunity to learn the importance of alignment, while also getting the chance to ask questions and master various movements.

Our classes are suitable for complete beginners as well as more seasoned yogis. Before each retreat, you'll get the chance to privately discuss your ability and any specific health concerns with Natalie, ensuring that each class is carefully adapted to suit all needs. Find out more about Natalie.

Hike

The world famous South West Coast Path is a twenty minute walk from the front door of our luxury retreat accommodation. After a nourishing smoothie we'll pull on our hiking boots and trek across the rolling fields and dramatic cliff tops of South Devon.

We are always armed with thermos flasks, offering plenty of opportunities for warming refreshments on hidden coves, sheltered amongst the rocks and caves of some of Devon's finest beaches.

Our retreat will include leisurely daily hikes of up to 5 miles, allowing plenty of time for photos and snack stops. While the coastline can be quite rugged in places, the path is well trodden and suitable for all.

Swim

For the adventurous among us, there are opportunities for memorable and invigorating wild swimming experiences.

At Yoga Field & Sea we dip in the ocean every day, all year round, to take advantage of the many health benefits cold water offers our minds and bodies.

In spring, the water will be chilly, so we will always start off with a safety briefing from our professional water safety team, before heading into the revitalising salt water. We also provide hooded towels and flasks of hot tea, both essential for the post swim warm-up.

Water activities are led by our certified team of water sports experts who live and breathe the ocean life. You can find out more about the team, here.

Location

Our Spring retreat takes place in a very special place, overlooking one of the UK's most spectacular stretches of coastline.

Nestled atop the village of Slapton, Higher Poole is perfectly positioned for unforgettable sunrises, moonrises and expansive views that stretch all the way out to Start Bay and towards Start Point Lighthouse.

A common spot for dolphin and seal sightings, and in 2017 the spring playground for a humpback whale, Slapton Sands is the perfect venue for an immersive rural retreat.

The world-famous South West Coastal Path is just beyond the village, which is also home to Slapton Ley, one of southern England's largest freshwater lakes.

Our retreat home is in an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), atop an SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest: Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve) and along the English Heritage Coast.

Dining

We love food at Yoga Field & Sea so our incredible in-house chef, Natalie Williams, has designed a superb menu that makes the most of the local, organic, fresh produce available from the local area.

Throughout your stay, all of your fresh juices, breakfasts, lunches, cakes and amazing three course evening meals are lovingly created onsite in front of your very eyes in our beautiful Italian kitchen!

We are so lucky to have fresh, wild-caught seafood from the local areas which we offer as part of a pescatarian menu, however we can also cater for full vegetarian or vegan diets, gluten free or dairy free and more.

Expect to eat all the colours of the rainbow and a huge array of plants during your stay (as well as some delicious, mostly healthy cakes!)
