Solo travellers

Perfect for solo travellers seeking connection, our retreats offer friendship, shared adventures, and unforgettable coastal experiences.

Your experience

Travelling solo doesn’t mean travelling alone

Our retreats are designed to make you feel instantly welcome, with small, friendly groups and a warm, inclusive atmosphere. Shared activities like yoga, coastal walks, and wild swimming naturally bring people together, creating genuine connections without pressure. There’s time for companionship and time for yourself—space to pause, reflect, and recharge. Many arrive as strangers and leave as friends, with shared memories of the South Hams’ wild beauty and peaceful pace lingering long after you return home.

Just a few things you may be wondering

Group sizes are intentionally small: 8–13 guests in spring, winter, and autumn, and up to 18 in summer—perfect for meaningful connections.

It depends on the type of accommodation you book. During the booking process, it’s clearly stated whether you’re reserving a shared or solo room. If you choose a shared option, such as a bunk or a shared tent, you may be placed with other guests. However, we never assign male and female strangers to share a room or tent.

Not at all! Everything is optional—you build your own experience.

Our yoga retreats feature a thoughtfully crafted pescatarian menu, fresh, nourishing, and with a few indulgent treats along the way! We’re also happy to cater to all dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and more.

For our 7-night South West Coast 100 retreat, the menu includes local, organic, free-range meat options alongside plenty of vegetarian and plant-based dishes. As always, guests are free to choose the options that best suit their preferences. Most guests love the food—but if it’s not your thing, you’re still in very good hands!

Reception is limited along the coast path, although the local villages offer decent coverage—ideal for both unplugging and staying contactable.

Yes—summer venues are just a 5‑minute drive from the nearest shop. Other venues are within walking or short‑driving distance of local farm or community shops.

Trails can be up to 7 miles per day on hilly terrain, but are done at a relaxed pace. Longer “SW Coast 100” hikes can cover up to 15 miles—and you’ll receive a training plan in advance to help you prepare confidently.
