Natalie
Founder, Adventure Host, Yoga Teacher
Natalie founded Yoga Field & Sea in 2020, combining her love of yoga with the wild landscapes, rivers and coastline of South Devon. Since then, she has run more than 35 retreats, all sold out, building a reputation for beautifully organised adventures, high standards and a genuinely brilliant team.
She’s happiest outside — hiking the coast path, swimming year-round, disappearing off in the van or plotting the next adventure. Natalie has completed the Dart 10K, Bantham Swoosh and Burgh Island swims, along with numerous long coastal swims simply for the love of it, and is in the sea almost every day throughout the year.
A Registered Yoga Alliance teacher with both 200- and 500-hour training, her teaching is alignment-based and strongly influenced by BKS Iyengar. She also holds SLSGB Level 2 First Aid and swim rescue training.
With 82 Google reviews averaging 5 stars, Natalie is unapologetically particular about the details. She runs a tight ship, expects high standards and works with an exceptional team — something guests mention again and again. The result is retreats that feel adventurous and relaxed, while everything behind the scenes is carefully thought through.
You’ll meet Nat on every Yoga Field & Sea trip. She wants to know who you are, share the adventure with you, make you laugh, look after you when you need it, and introduce you to the brilliant team around her. These retreats are personal — not anonymous, not conveyor-belt wellness. Nat is there, involved, making sure the experience feels welcoming, well run and genuinely fun.

Charlie
Head of Water Safety
Charlie leads water safety across every Yoga Field & Sea swim — from a 10-minute winter cold-water dip to a three-hour summer river swim.
He has built his career around keeping people safe in and around the water. With many seasons as an RNLI lifeguard and event lifeguard, Charlie has led teams across a wide range of open-water events, assessing complex venues, designing practical safety plans, and coordinating lifeguards, rescue craft and on-water support.
Alongside event work, he has guided hundreds of swimmers along the Devon coastline, combining local knowledge with calm, confident leadership to help people enjoy the water safely.
Charlie also runs his own water safety company and supports major events including the International Canoe Federation Stand Up Paddling World Championships, Tunes on the Bay and Head of the Dart.
Together, Charlie and Nat build every Yoga Field & Sea swim itinerary with a very close eye on swell, wind, tides, currents, water temperature and changing conditions. A huge amount happens behind the scenes — route planning, contingency options, detailed risk assessments and safety briefings — so that when guests arrive, the experience feels simple, relaxed and enjoyable.
The aim is always the same: highly professional safety behind the scenes, so you can switch off, trust the team and have an unforgettable time on the water.
Tom
Hike Guide and Lifeguard
Tom is one of our adventure hosts and lifeguards, bringing energy, confidence and plenty of personality to the more active side of the retreat. He leads hikes, keeps the group moving, and is often at the front of the pack with a story, a laugh or a helping hand when someone needs it.
Strong, fit and endlessly practical, Tom is a qualified lifeguard, and also works alongside Charlie in the water and on the beach as part of the safety team, helping to support our swims and keep everyone feeling looked after.
When he’s not on retreat with us, Tom runs outdoor events and also works as a landscape gardener, so being outside is very much part of who he is.
Warm, capable and extremely lovely, Tom is the person you want beside you on a big day out — whether that’s on the trail, in the water or somewhere in between.
Natalie

Natalie inherited a passion for healthy, wholefood cooking from her mum which led to a career as a superyacht chef. Having travelled all over the world in this role, her cooking style has many influences, from Mediterranean to Asian, but using fresh, locally sourced ingredients has always been paramount.
Being born and bred in the South Hams, Natalie is keen to create menus that show off the wealth of local produce we have here; using seasonal ingredients to reduce environmental impact and make the most of nature’s pantry on our doorstep.
As your in-house chef at Yoga, Field and Sea, Natalie looks forward to combining her superyacht-standard service, worldwide influences and amazing local produce to provide our guests on our retreats with delicious, nourishing feasts. Bon appetit!
